Testing
Quality at Every Stage
Red Spinach Company products are made with standardized red spinach extract produced by NutriGardens. Independent laboratory testing is used to verify ingredient quality, identity, purity, and nitrate potency.
Testing is performed on raw materials and finished products, as appropriate, to confirm that each formulation meets established quality specifications.
3rd Party Testing:Â What We Test
Nitrate Potency
Our red spinach extract is standardized to provide a measured amount of naturally occurring nitrate. Laboratory testing verifies nitrate potency so that the amount listed for each serving is based on measurement rather than estimation.
Laboratory Test Result: Assay on Dry Basis. Current Lot Tested Nitrate: 9.10%
Ingredient Identity
Identity testing helps confirm that the material being used is the intended red spinach ingredient and meets established botanical and quality specifications.
Heavy Metals
Testing is conducted for heavy metals to verify that ingredients and finished products comply with applicable quality and safety specifications.
Current Batch Laboratory Test Result: Complies
Microbial Quality
Microbial testing screens for organisms that may indicate contamination or improper handling. This testing helps confirm that products meet established standards for microbiological quality.
Current Batch Laboratory Test Result: Complies
Oxalate Testing
Our extraction process removes any oxalates to below measurable levels in the finished extract.
Current Laboratory Test Result: Oxalate (Oxalic Acid): <0.01 g/100 g — below the laboratory’s measurable reporting level.
No oxalate detected at or above the laboratory’s reporting limit.
Pesticide Screening
Our red spinach extract is screened for more than 350 pesticides. This broad screening helps verify that the ingredient meets our established purity requirements.
Why Standardization Matters
The nitrate content of plants can vary depending on variety, soil conditions, climate, harvest timing, processing, and storage. A product made from a nitrate-rich plant does not automatically provide a consistent amount of nitrate.
Standardization and laboratory testing allow us to verify the nitrate content of our red spinach extract and provide a clearly measured amount per serving.
Transparency Without Guesswork
Red Spinach Company is committed to clear labeling and measurable product specifications. Our goal is to tell customers what is in each serving and support those statements with appropriate testing.
Rather than making general claims based only on the natural properties of red spinach, we use standardized ingredients and laboratory verification to confirm the qualities that matter most.
